As a B2B Industrial Automation Writer, you will produce high-quality, customer-centric blog content that positions the company as a trusted advisor throughout the buyers journey. You will work closely with subject matter experts and marketing leadership to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences. The position involves shaping narrative frameworks, refining tone, and ensuring content aligns with strategic brand storytelling principles. This is a remote role with flexible hours, ideal for writers who enjoy combining technical expertise with strategic communication to impact customer education and engagement.
Accountabilities:- Write long-form, educational blog content (1,0001,900+ words) for multiple brand Learning Centers, focused on secondary packaging automation for CPG manufacturers.
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical insights and clarify complex concepts.
- Translate highly technical information into content that is accessible, engaging, and maintains authority without oversimplifying.
- Apply StoryBrand 2.0 principles to position the customer as hero and brand as guide.
- Collaborate with marketing leadership and SME teams to refine tone, narrative structure, and overall clarity.
- Support foundational content creation that can later be repurposed into guides, checklists, or other assets.
- Iterate content based on feedback while maintaining consistency with brand voice and educational-first focus.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of B2B writing experience, preferably in industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering, or related technical industries.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience conducting SME interviews and synthesizing insights into content.
- Familiarity with StoryBrand 2.0 or similar customer-centric storytelling frameworks.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted drafting workflows while ensuring human-edited, SME-informed content quality.
- Strong understanding of content strategy based on customer journey and educational objectives.
- Ability to adapt to evolving brand voice and messaging frameworks while maintaining technical authority.
