Summary:
The IT Director is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, security, and execution of all Information Technology functions across Rogers Group companies. This role provides leadership and oversight to internal technology teams including network administration, system administration, systems analysis, and network technicians as well as third‑party vendors that support network security. The IT Director ensures reliable technology infrastructure, data integrity, cybersecurity protection, and effective support for all business systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides strategic and operational leadership for all IT functions across the organization.
- Leads, mentors and develops internal IT staff.
- Manages the relationship with third‑party network security providers, ensuring protection against cybersecurity threats and maintaining compliance with security standards.
- Develops, implements, and maintains IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure efficient, secure, and consistent operations.
- Directs the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure, servers, systems, and communications hardware/software.
- Ensures high availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems to support business operations.
- Establishes and manages IT budgets, including hardware, software, licensing, and service contracts.
- Supervises IT project management activities, delivering system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Provides escalation support for mission‑critical system issues and coordinates rapid recovery efforts.
- Evaluates emerging technology trends and recommends solutions to enhance productivity, security, and business efficiency.
- Ensures data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are maintained and tested.
- Works closely with business leaders to understand operational needs and deliver technology strategies that support company goals.
- Maintains vendor relationships and negotiates hardware, software, and service agreements.
- Ensures compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and IT best practices.
- Flexible schedule; occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in leadership or management.
- Strong background in network administration, systems management, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience working with third‑party IT security vendors or MSSPs.
- Knowledge of enterprise‑level system administration, cybersecurity frameworks, and ITIL best practices.
- Experience managing ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred).
- Familiar with Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, firewalls, routing/switching, and cloud platforms.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.
- Associate must have the ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently.
- Able to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical users.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Must be a self‑starter with strong decision‑making skills and the ability to analyze complex issues. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The associate will be subjected to reasonable stress associated with the performance of normal duties. The associate will be exposed to manufacturing and office environments. Additional Job Information:
The environment is active and fast-paced, with fabrication and production operating throughout the day. Expect a mix of physical activity and equipment use, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts to move materials and keep operations flowing.
