Description
Seasonal full-time and part-time, and flex staff needed, non-exempt, employee. Reporting to COO, DOO, Warehouse Supervisor, and possible Lead.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Material handling, packing, and hand assembly. Counting, inserting, stacking, rubber-banding, sorting, stapling, and collating.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Position, align, and secure workpieces or plastic material against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
- Inserts parts into partial assembly during various stages of assembly to complete product.
- Counts finished product to determine completion of production order.
- Places product in equipment or on the work surface for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
- Separates product according to weight, grade, size, and composition of the material used to produce the produced product.
Statement of Purpose: The purpose of PDI’s at-will Production Intern is to provide exceptional experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory with practical application and skill development in a professional setting that aims to increase the quality and quantity of those seeking careers in production-type environments. This program also allows PDI to guide and evaluate potential long-term talent.
Requirements:PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sit, stand, reach frequently, and walk occasionally. May be required to lift/carry - 20lbs or less occasionally.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERN
Must be 18 years or older to work as an Intern at PDI and pass a pre-hire drug and background screen, and random drug screens that may occur at any time and without notice. Interns under 18 are not allowed to work more than 8 hours per 24-hour period or more than 40 hours per week.

- PDI is funded by Federal Contracts; therefore, we are required to adhere to federal regulations and guidelines on the Drug Screen and Background Check process.
- Each applicant must complete and pass both the Drug Screen and the Background check to be hired at PDI.
