Position Information
The Lab Assistant plays an important role in supporting innovative biomedical research within the Pellecchia Lab at the UCR School of Medicine. Under general supervision, the incumbent contributes to a range of laboratory activities, including cell culture, experimental assays, and the preparation and maintenance of lab materials and equipment.This position supports cutting-edge research by assisting with the execution of established protocols, collecting and documenting data, and helping to ensure the lab operates efficiently and safely. Working closely with research staff, graduate students, and project scientists, the Lab Assistant contributes to advancing scientific discovery in a collaborative and dynamic research environment.The full salary range for this position will be $25.75 - $30.17 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $29.19 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.Please note: this is a career appointment with an end date of June 30, 2026. Extension is contingent upon funding.

Educational Requirements

| Knowledge of techniques in cell culture and western blotting. |
