Speech/Lang Path KAL at Beacon Health System – Kalamazoo, Michigan

Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language therapy.

Responsibilities:
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.

Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.

Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provides information regarding appropriate support programs.

LIC BLS Provider Required: Y Preferred: N, Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date. LIC Speech-Language Pathologist Required: N Preferred: Y, Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Speech-Language Pathology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
