Director of Implementation

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Implementation in the United States.

The Director of Implementation will lead the strategy and execution of customer onboarding and product adoption programs, ensuring clients achieve value quickly and efficiently. This role oversees all stages of the implementation lifecycle, from initial engagement through integration and adoption, optimizing processes, and enhancing customer experience. You will manage and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team, collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver seamless implementations. Data-driven decision-making, process innovation, and scalability are at the core of this position. The Director will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term business growth, while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Remote flexibility is supported, with opportunities to influence implementation strategy across diverse customer segments.

Accountabilities
  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and operational plan for the implementation organization, ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-quality customer experiences.
  • Lead the full customer implementation journey, including onboarding, integration, data migration, and adoption, with a focus on time to value and product utilization.
  • Build, coach, and manage a high-performing implementation team across multiple locations as needed, fostering engagement and accountability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent methodology.
  • Optimize implementation processes, leveraging analytics, automation, and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
  • Address escalated client issues promptly, orchestrating resources to resolve complex implementation challenges.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key implementation metrics, using insights to continuously improve performance and demonstrate impact on business outcomes.
  • Develop and manage professional services offerings to support complex implementations and deliver additional value to customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical solutions, professional services, or customer-facing roles, with at least 3 years in leadership or management.
  • Proven track record managing complex technical projects and delivering customer success in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong technical acumen, experience with software implementation, CRM systems, analytics, integrations, and workflow automation platforms.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and resilient, capable of thriving in dynamic environments.
