This role offers a unique opportunity to lead product research initiatives that directly influence user experience and product strategy across a dynamic digital commerce platform. You will engage with creators, shoppers, and brands to uncover insights that shape product decisions, optimize usability, and elevate customer satisfaction. Acting as the voice of the user, you will partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate research into actionable strategies. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where creativity, analytical thinking, and strategic influence converge.

Accountabilities:

As Senior Manager, Product Research, you will own and drive the product research function, ensuring user insights inform product strategy and design:

  • Lead end-to-end user research initiatives across multiple product areas, from discovery to usability testing.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, and Support teams to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations, influencing roadmap prioritization and design decisions.
  • Design, scope, and execute studies using diverse methodologies, including interviews, surveys, diary studies, and remote usability testing.
  • Advocate for the voice of creators, shoppers, and brands throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain research frameworks, documentation standards, and best practices to improve the team’s processes and insights sharing.
  • Support the growth of research literacy across the organization through mentorship, training, and guidance.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong research expertise with strategic thinking and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in product or UX research, preferably in fast-paced B2B or B2C environments.
  • Expertise in both generative and evaluative research methods, with a portfolio demonstrating impact on shipped products.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities to make insights engaging, accessible, and actionable.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams while advocating for user needs in a business context.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing high-impact work, and balancing speed with rigor.
  • Experience with creator tools, marketplaces, or e-commerce products is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in designing research studies and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $160,000 USD (base, varies with experience; equity included).
  • Equity opportunities in the company for all employees.
  • Medical and dental coverage (70% employer-paid).
  • Flexible paid time off and 14 weeks of parental leave.
  • Wellness, technology, and learning & development stipends.
  • 401(k) plan with 3% automatic company contribution.
  • Wellhub membership and company retreats.
  • Opportunity to monetize personal influence through the platform.
  • Birthday PTO and other perks supporting work-life balance.
