The Opportunity: Join Walker Masonry & Sons Inc as a Concrete Finisher and play a critical role in shaping durable, high-quality concrete surfaces across commercial and residential projects. This position combines hands-on craftsmanship with the stability of a 52-year industry legacy. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus to enhance communication and coordination on site. You will directly contribute to project quality, safety, and timely completion while growing your skills in a supportive, safety-first environment.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Set forms, pour, level, and finish concrete surfaces including slabs, sidewalks, curbs, walls, and other structures.

• Operate hand and power tools such as screeds, floats, trowels, and edgers to achieve precise finishes.

• Smooth and finish surfaces to meet quality standards and project specifications.

• Apply curing compounds and sealants as required.

• Repair and patch existing concrete surfaces to maintain structural integrity and aesthetics.

• Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in accordance with company and OSHA standards.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, preferably in both English and Spanish.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of concrete finishing experience (commercial or residential).

• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and quality standards.

• Ability to read and understand construction plans and measurements.

• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, bending, kneeling, and working in outdoor conditions.

• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

• Experience with commercial concrete projects.

• Familiarity with laser screeds and power trowels.

• Basic knowledge of form setting and layout.
