Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for completing day to day logistics department tasks. These tasks include coordinating logistics events and Part-135 Vendor database maintenance. The Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Logistics. This role is fully remote, and the employee will need to provide their own reliable home internet, pc and phone to perform job duties.
Responsibilities
Air/Ground Transportation Coordination
- Maintain On-Call Schedule at discretion of Director of Logistics
- Monitor incoming communications from clients for logistics operational requests
- Communicate with Logistics Dispatch for air provider/vendor acquisition to complete requested logistical operations
- Organize ground logistics movements for associated air movements
- Communicates with the Logistics AOC/Director of Logistics regarding active cases, questions, issues
- Provide feedback and communication to requisition clients surrounding logistics movements
- Communicate through the entirety of the movement with all necessary parties involved with the movement
- Completes documentation for each logistics movement to include DAL’s, Logistics Logbook , any pertinent requisition forms , and other necessary documentation via Buckeye Logistics Portal
Administrative Duties
- Facilitates data entry into the Part-135 provider database
- Maintaining provider profiles to include updating/acquiring any recorded fields
- Maintaining specified organization expectations for all transportation Google Drive Folders
- Participate in logistics department team meetings
- Participates in potential client or vendor sale presentations at the discretion of the Director of Logistics
Qualifications
- Preferred Associate’s degree in health care, nursing, or science.
- A minimum of two years experience as an organ procurement coordinator (with at least 2 years of clinical experience at the bedside) or clinical transplant coordinator.
- A minimum of 4 years at Buckeye Transplant Services preferred.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Must be physically capable of performing work responsibilities for extended hours.
- Must keep accurate records, follow guidelines, draft policies, and perform technical training.
