This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of engineering simulation software, providing expert support and guidance to users across multiple industries. As a Lead Application Support Engineer, you will serve as the primary interface between technical teams and end-users, troubleshooting complex issues, advising on product functionality, and shaping the development of new features. You will create and maintain technical documentation, lead training sessions, and contribute to marketing initiatives as a subject matter expert. The position combines customer engagement, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure software delivers maximum value. You will work closely with development teams to relay user insights, test new releases, and enhance product usability. This is a high-impact role in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your contributions directly influence customer success and product innovation.
- Provide proactive, high-quality customer support for engineering simulation software users, anticipating and resolving technical and functional issues
- Advise development teams through QA testing, bug reporting, and feature enhancement feedback
- Author and maintain product documentation, including user manuals, help topics, knowledge base articles, FAQs, and example simulations
- Update training materials and deliver seminars both virtually and in-person, enhancing user proficiency
- Serve as a technical resource for marketing initiatives, conferences, trade shows, and website content
- Support pre-sales activities by demonstrating software capabilities tailored to prospective customer needs
- Partner with product and development teams to incorporate customer feedback, influencing product strategy and roadmap
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline
- 5+ years’ experience using the software as an end-user, with strong technical proficiency
- Advanced knowledge of Monte Carlo methods and foundational statistical analysis
- Domain expertise in core industries such as water resources, mining, or environmental/radioactive waste management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, customer-centric mindset, and ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Preferred: 10+ years’ experience in engineering or consulting in water resource or environmental modeling, and familiarity with AI-based tools to enhance workflows and performance
