Job Overview

Jordahl Engineering & Mechanical is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our high-performing Field Operations team. In this role, you'll leverage your deep technical knowledge and leadership skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems. You'll play a key role in delivering reliable service to our clients and mentoring junior techs as needed. Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and VRF systems.

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.

  • Document service activities accurately using internal reporting systems.

  • Maintain communication with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure clear expectations and high customer satisfaction.

  • Support junior technicians through mentoring and field training.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.

  • Manage and track inventory, tools, and service vehicle supplies.

Qualifications
  • 10 years of hands-on HVAC service experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred

  • EPA Refrigerant Certification required.

  • HVAC-related certifications and management experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and service protocols.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

  • Comfortable with digital diagnostic tools and service software.

  • Ability to work independently and solve complex mechanical problems.

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Schedule
  • Full-Time: MondayFriday

  • Typical hours vary by project, with occasional overtime opportunities
