Job Title: General Laborer

Reports To: Manufacturing Project Engineer

Job Summary

The General Laborer will support an active building expansion project by performing physically demanding outdoor work. This role focuses on site cleanup, material handling, digging, and general construction labor to support ongoing expansion and facility improvements. Ideal candidates have prior experience in general labor, manufacturing maintenance, or automotive repair and are dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to perform manual labor in all weather conditions.

Functional Job Duties

• Perform physical labor in support of building expansion activities
• Pick up trash, debris, and construction materials across the job site
• Dig ditches, trenches, and holes as directed
• Assist with general site cleanup and organization
• Support skilled trades and supervisors as needed
• Work outdoors for extended periods of time
• Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Take direction and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Experience:

• Manufacturing maintenance experience
• Automotive repair experience
• General construction or labor experience
• Forklift certification or equivalent experience

• Ability to perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
• Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to interact effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and vendors.
• Must be able to work under stress, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining safe work practices.

• Must be able to stand and be on feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must tolerate extreme temperatures and high noise levels
• Majority of work performed outside
• Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
