This part-time position is located at 1013 Great Bridge Blvd, Chesapeake, VA.
This is the perfect time to work for the City of Chesapeake. CIBH is looking for dependable applicants that love helping others, especially those with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The Community Support Driver provides daily transportation services to individuals living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who participate attend the Community Options Group day service.
Typical tasks for the Community Support Driver include:

The Community Support Driver provides daily transportation services to individuals living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who participate attend the Community Options Group day service.
Typical tasks for the Community Support Driver include:
- Provide transportation safely for individuals of the Community Options Program to and from the Day Support program.
- Maintain and record travel logs indicating the amount of mileage used daily and record the number of passengers transported daily.
- Refueling the Vehicles.
- Ensure that the Program Vehicles receive the required Preventive Maintenance (PM)

Requires instruction that is sufficient for satisfactory job performance
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of one month of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires a valid driver’s license and driving record that is in compliance with the City’s Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.
