What You’ll DoImaging & Patient Care- Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort.
- Administer contrast media when appropriate, monitoring patients for reactions.
- Verify patient history and ensure proper documentation prior to procedures.
- Ensure all imaging meets quality standards for diagnostic accuracy.
- Follow radiation safety protocols (ALARA principles) to minimize exposure.
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues promptly.
- Work closely with radiologists, providers, and clinical staff to ensure timely imaging and reporting.
- Manage patient flow efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and address concerns.
- Accurately document procedures in PACS, RIS, and EHR systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification (R) required; ARRT (CT) preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Active state licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience performing CT scans in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and protocols.
- Understanding of radiation safety and contrast administration.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
