Position Overview
The Bartender is a key member of our Food & Beverage team, responsible for delivering an exceptional member and guest experience through warm hospitality, consistent service, and expert beverage preparation. This role supports the daily operation of the bar, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, efficient workflow, and high-quality beverage offerings that reflect the standards of a private country club.
Key Responsibilities
Member Service & Hospitality
Provide attentive, friendly, and personalized service to members and guests throughout their visit.
Build rapport with regulars and seasonal members, remembering preferences and anticipating needs.
Maintain a polished, professional demeanor and uphold the club’s service standards at all times.
Beverage Preparation & Menu Execution
Prepare and serve a full range of cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages with consistency and accuracy.
Execute club approved drink recipes and seasonal menus; contribute creative ideas for specials when requested.
Ensure proper portioning, garnishing, and presentation of all beverages.
Bar Operations & Cleanliness
Set up and break down the bar each shift, ensuring all tools, ingredients, and equipment are stocked and organized.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly bar area, including glassware, surfaces, and equipment.
Follow all state and club guidelines for responsible alcohol service.
Inventory & Cash Handling
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and supplies.
Assist with weekly inventory counts and restocking procedures.
Handle member charges, cash transactions, and POS entries accurately and responsibly.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
Support club events, tournaments, and private functions with bar service as needed.
Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.
Qualifications
Prior bartending experience required; country club or upscale hospitality experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and beer.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Must be at least 21 years old
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (cases, kegs, supplies).
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
