DeFi Engineer in Tremblay-en-France, Île-de-France at Jobgether

In this role, you will help design and build the next generation of decentralized financial infrastructure, contributing directly to the development of native DeFi protocols on a cutting-edge blockchain ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of smart contract engineering, market design, and protocol development, shaping systems that support high-performance decentralized trading and liquidity. The environment is highly experimental and fast-moving, with a strong focus on iteration, data-driven decision-making, and innovation. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams while also engaging with broader ecosystem trends to identify new opportunities. This position is ideal for engineers who are passionate about DeFi, markets, and building foundational web3 infrastructure. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and smart contracts
• Build and deploy smart contract systems while supporting backend infrastructure for monitoring and data collection
• Conduct market and ecosystem research to identify opportunities for new protocol development and improvements
• Analyze trading flows and market behavior to inform protocol design and optimization
• Collaborate with engineering teams to iterate quickly on experimental features and protocol enhancements
• Leverage AI tools and data insights to accelerate development and decision-making processes
• Monitor protocol performance, collect metrics, and refine systems based on real-world usage data
• Stay actively informed about DeFi markets, ecosystem developments, and emerging trends

• Proven experience writing and deploying smart contracts in production environments
• Strong understanding of DeFi markets, trading systems, and liquidity mechanisms
• Experience or strong familiarity with high-frequency trading (HFT) and/or market making (MM) concepts
• Deep knowledge of how financial markets and order flows operate in crypto or traditional finance
• Active engagement with DeFi ecosystems, including trading activity and market research
• Strong ability to conduct technical and market-driven analysis
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, experimental, and iterative engineering environments
• Familiarity with modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding or research workflows is a plus
• Strong curiosity, self-direction, and ability to stay current with industry trends
