Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Developer Platform) in United States.
This role sits at the heart of a high-impact engineering organization focused on building the internal “factory” that powers software delivery at scale. You will help design and evolve the developer platform that enables engineers to ship secure, production-ready software faster and with less friction. The scope spans CI/CD systems, monorepo infrastructure, and AI-driven development tooling that supports modern agentic workflows. You will work on eliminating developer toil by automating repetitive processes and improving system reliability and speed. The environment is highly technical, collaborative, and deeply focused on engineering excellence and operational maturity. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and shaping the future of developer productivity. Your work will directly influence how quickly and safely new products reach production.
In this role, you will take ownership of critical components of the internal developer platform and help define its technical direction while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams. You will improve core systems that support software delivery, reliability, and automation at scale.
- Own and evolve key parts of the developer platform, including CI/CD pipelines, monorepo infrastructure, build systems, and AI-driven engineering tools
- Improve build speed, reliability, and developer experience to reduce friction in software delivery workflows
- Help design next-generation change delivery systems, including automation, validation, and agent-assisted code integration workflows
- Contribute to the productionization of AI-driven engineering systems, including observability, context management, and agent tooling
- Partner with engineers across the organization to identify bottlenecks, reduce manual work, and standardize development practices
- Support consolidation of fragmented systems into scalable, standardized “paved road” solutions for product teams
- Mentor engineers and contribute to raising the bar for technical design, code quality, and operational excellence
You bring deep experience in building scalable infrastructure and developer platforms, along with strong technical leadership and collaboration skills. You are comfortable operating in complex environments and driving meaningful improvements across engineering systems.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles in cloud-based environments
- Strong proficiency in Go or ability to quickly ramp into it
- Deep experience with CI/CD systems, distributed build systems, and containerized environments at scale
- Experience working with monorepos and large-scale engineering workflows
- Ability to influence technical direction across teams and guide architecture decisions
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, LLM-based automation, or agent-based workflows is highly valued
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed engineering teams
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and automate repetitive engineering tasks
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with a focus on measurable impact
- Competitive base salary ranging from $205,000 to $231,000 USD
- Remote-first work culture with flexibility and optional team meetups
- Equity grants with long exercise windows and participation in secondary offerings
- 100% employer-covered health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents
- Flexible unlimited time off policy to support rest and work-life balance
- 18 weeks paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents
- Monthly stipend for coworking, internet, and phone expenses
- Participation in engineering summits and opportunities for in-person collaboration.
