This position also plays a key role in enabling international expansion and supporting a rapidly evolving global workforce. It is ideal for a business-minded legal professional who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of complex commercial agreements, including enterprise customer and strategic partner contracts that directly support revenue growth.
- Act as a key legal advisor to cross-functional teams, aligning business objectives with legal, privacy, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- Support vendor, partner, and customer contracting strategies to optimize deal velocity and scalability across global markets.
- Provide legal guidance on corporate and commercial matters, including employment-related issues across a distributed international workforce.
- Assist with regulatory, privacy, and compliance matters in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Privacy, Governance, Risk, and Finance teams.
- Contribute to global expansion initiatives by advising on cross-border considerations and supporting new market entry efforts.
- Operate independently as a trusted advisor, balancing legal risk with business enablement in a fast-paced environment.
- Active membership in the Law Society of British Columbia with 4–7 years of post-call experience.
- Background in corporate and commercial law, ideally with exposure to SaaS, technology transactions, cross-border deals, M&A, or international privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, EU AI Act).
- Proven experience negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements, often independently or as lead counsel.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate legal considerations into practical, growth-oriented solutions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality and precision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy while contributing to a highly collaborative, values-driven culture.
- Competitive base salary in the range of $130,000–$165,000 CAD annually, plus bonus eligibility.
- Stock options and/or performance-based incentives depending on role and employment type.
- Comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
- Flexible and modern working arrangements depending on seniority and location.
- Annual company-wide gathering in Vancouver for collaboration, learning, and team-building activities.
- Opportunity to work in a high-growth, global SaaS environment with strong exposure to strategic business decisions.
- Culture focused on learning, collaboration, ownership, and professional growth.
