Lead, PFS Rep Billing & Collecting at Whidbey General Hospital – Coupeville, Washington

LEAD ASSIGNMENT includes the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Performs all essential duties of primary position / functional area of focus per full job description.
• Provides support and guidance to employees within the same functional area.
• Provides input for the performance assessment of other employees within the same job classification.
• Conducts research to identify areas for improvement.
• Evaluates clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement, if applicable to position.
• Keeps up to date with the latest developments in the field.
• Ensures that the department has timely access to supplies and logistical support.
• May assist with creating and maintaining the departmental schedule.
• Ensures staff compliance with clinical and operational protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Assists with the orientation and training of new staff.
• Assists with the direction and guidance for departmental workflow.
• Assists with daily distribution of the workload.

Department-specific duties:

• Assists finance with balancing and any document request.
• Ensures staff compliance with cash posting and operational protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures supervisor is up to date on any posting issues and/or concerns.
• Researched any missing remits.
• Research and enroll any missing payor set up in SSI, to include payor ID and NPI.
• Is the liaison between vendors regarding missing or unposted remits.
• Assists with daily distribution of the workload.

Lead Pay: $2.00 added to base wage
