About This Position
Welder - Temporary Hire - Drug Free
Sierra Peaks is hiring for a Welder at our Lemon Grove, CA location. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings to produce finished products. Welders should be able to weld a variety of sheet metal products in various materials. Each technician is responsible for ensuring quality products in conformance with our Quality Management System.
Job Responsibilities:
- MIG and TIG welding per welding procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Follow and look up weld procedures, drawings, and instructions
- Operate measuring instruments
- Inspect work intermittently to ensure quality
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
Experience with weld procedures and symbols is required
Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) on carbon steel experience is required
MIG welding on materials other than carbon steels is preferred
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) welding is preferred
Experience with government contracts and the maritime industry is preferred
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening test
