The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

About the role
The Activity Aide provides group and individual activities that meet the need(s) of facility residents. They will assist in planning activities; assists residents by leading and participating in activities and programs; encourage residents to participate in activities; conduct 1:1 activities with residents unable to participate in groups. They will report changes to residents’ physical/emotional status to Activity Coordinator or nursing staff. As well as help clean, store and maintain equipment and supplies; assist with volunteer orientation and supervision; accompany residents to functions within the community; assess and refer signs/symptoms of abuse; complete initial assessments within timeframe designated by policy and regulations; documents activities offered to residents and their participation therein; charts residents’ progress or changes in participation; responds to immediate resident needs; provide safe environment for residents, perform as resource for nursing staff; have knowledge of all dietary requirements for all residents; assist with feeding residents; perform personal shopping for residents, drive Activity bus or van as needed.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent.
- Able to read and follow moderately detailed instructions.
- Able to write/print legibly.
- Interest in arts/crafts preferred.
- Able to communicate verbally in clear, cheerful tone.
- Valid Montana Driver’s License.
- Licensed MT Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.)

Starting pay range varies based on experience up to 10 years.
