IS Systems Manager Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Design and install fiber and copper cable in healthcare setting.
- Terminate copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Test cable and ensure accuracy of cable testing, documentation and storage.
- Testing and Troubleshooting of Copper cable, optical fiber cable, system upgrades, identifying active circuits, performing cutovers, removal of abandoned cable.
- Terminate and dress communications closets according to BICSI standards.
- Perform cabling and PBX/phone Moves, Adds or Changes (MAC)
- Manage work orders, signoffs, daily log/journal and other project documentation.
- Install card reader access control cabling.
- Install IP cameras, wireless access points, audio/video equipment.
- Developing a job plan, performing a site survey, design IDF/MDF room layouts.
- Installing support system infrastructure, preparing work area outlet locations, planning for a retrofit, pulling backbone and horizontal twisted-pair cable, pulling optical fiber cable, Fire stopping, new and existing penetrations, copper cable termination, coaxial cable termination, optical fiber cable termination, splicing copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Active BICSI Technician level certificate
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- 10 years industry experience.
- PC Proficiency, Microsoft office applications
- Flexibility to work after hours when needed.
- Familiarity with Pre cabling Preparation, Space and pathway design
- RCDD Preferred
