About This Position
Position Summary
The Field Sales Manager – Water Heaters is a hands-on, field-based leadership role responsible for driving revenue performance, close rates, and sales execution across a team of Water Heater technicians who both install and sell.
This leader operates directly in the field—coaching, developing, and holding the team accountable to a consistent sales process, while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This is not a desk role; success in this position is built through ride-alongs, real-time coaching, and active leadership in the field.
The Field Sales Manager plays a critical role in improving conversion rates, average ticket, and overall revenue, while reinforcing a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
Compensation
· Base salary plus Performance Bonus
· Bonus is tied to team revenue performance and achievement of monthly budgeted targets

Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Coaching:
· Spend the majority of time in the field with Water Heater technicians
· Conduct ride-alongs to observe, coach, and develop selling skills
· Provide real-time feedback on sales calls, presentations, and closing techniques
· Reinforce consistent use of the company’s sales process and tools
Sales Performance & Revenue Growth:
· Drive team performance to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
· Improve close rate, average ticket, and add-on sales
· Ensure presentation of multiple options on every opportunity
Team Development & Accountability:
· Lead and develop a team of technicians who sell and install
· Hold team accountable to sales expectations and customer experience standards
· Identify skill gaps and implement coaching plans
Sales Process & Operational Discipline:
· Ensure all opportunities are documented in ServiceTitan
· Reinforce use of sales tools and consistent in-home sales presentation
Customer Experience:
· Champion a customer-first mindset
· Support technicians in resolving customer concerns
Drive strong customer satisfaction and reviews
Requirements:Qualifications
· Proven experience leading a field-based technicians and sellers
· Experience in home services or in-home sales preferred
· Experience managing or coaching field-based teams
· Strong sales coaching ability
· Results-driven and accountable
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Comfortable in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
