Job Description
Relationship Bankers serve a dual role for personal banking and teller responsibilities. This position sells products and services to existing customers and prospects. Relationship Bankers identify, expand upon and deepen customer relationships through reviewing and recommending appropriate products / services, and making referrals to other business lines. The position provides an exceptional customer experience through a genuine willingness to serve, an ability to articulate features and benefits of our products and services, efficiently and accurately processing of customer transactions, and always keeping our customers’ best interest in the forefront. Relationship Bankers adhere to compliance regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDelivering Exceptional Banking Services:
- Open and close a variety of deposit accounts for both retail and business clients, including checking, savings, money market, CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes.
- Provide excellent service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving account issues, and ensuring transactions are processed accurately.
- Stay informed about our products, features, benefits, and procedures, ensuring customers receive accurate information and a positive experience.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for credit cards, electronic banking solutions, consumer loans, mortgage loans, and more, enhancing customer relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining strong, lasting relationships.
- Proactively engage with customers to uncover their financial needs, convert service opportunities into sales, and nurture those relationships over time.
- Conduct outbound calls and other activities to grow the number of products and services customers use, increasing satisfaction, sales, and revenue.
- Meet and exceed growth and sales expectations, always seeking ways to go above and beyond for customers.
Performing Teller Functions:
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency in processing teller transactions, supporting the branch’s operational integrity.
- Open and close the retail branch, performing routine tasks to ensure smooth operations at the start and end of each day.
- Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance in all activities.
- Scan daily transactions accurately and on time, completing all administrative tasks with precision.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer telephones, direct calls, and assist customers with their inquiries, ensuring a smooth and efficient branch operation.
- Provide support to other branch locations as needed, maintaining consistency and quality in customer service across all branches.
- Contribute to the overall success of the bank by documenting procedures, ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, and assisting in other areas as needed.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the branch’s operations and goals.
- Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is located in an office environment with artificial lighting and controlled heating/air conditioning. The position includes prolonged periods of working on a computer and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The incumbent needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
