Prepare ingredients accurately and efficiently using proper techniques according to the chef’s instructions, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Assist with cleaning equipment and utensils between preparation periods.
Ensure all waste is properly separated and disposed of (landfill, composting, recycling, etc.).
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and station setup as needed.
Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations and procedures.
Punctuality and professional appearance at all times.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong work ethic with a “get-things-done” mindset.
Ability to follow instructions, take initiative, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Proactive, solution-oriented attitude with strong teamwork skills and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.
One (1) year of prior experience in a commercial kitchen preferred (luxury resort or fine dining experience is a plus).
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Willingness to learn and grow in a culinary career.
Training available for the right candidate.
Fast-paced kitchen environment with high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Extended hours may be required during peak seasons or special events.
This position requires full availability to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods as required by Moncayo operations.
