This role is designed for a hands-on technical leader who thrives at the intersection of engineering management and product delivery. You will lead a small team of full-stack engineers building mission-critical web applications using Typescript, React, and Firebase on Google Cloud Platform. The position offers the chance to influence both technical strategy and team growth, fostering high-quality code, scalable architecture, and a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will mentor engineers, contribute directly to code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. This role requires balancing day-to-day development execution with long-term technical vision, while navigating challenges in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

• Lead a team of 2-5 full-stack engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management
• Contribute directly to product development, reviewing code, designing architecture, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Define team workflows, technical standards, and best practices to improve code architecture, scalability, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable engineering solutions
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and code quality
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory compliance, and technical innovations to inform strategic decisions
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative team culture aligned with organizational values

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on web applications, ideally in growth-stage or regulated industries
• ~1 year of experience managing or mentoring engineers, including performance evaluations, promotions, and corrective feedback
• Strong technical expertise in Typescript, React, Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Remote Config), and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Product-minded, with experience in agile methodologies, MVP delivery, and iterative development cycles
• Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Passion for building scalable, secure, and compliant solutions, ideally with healthcare or telehealth experience
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, lead projects from inception to delivery, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence
