Executive Assistant to the President & Chief Executive Officer
Position Summary
The Executive Assistant to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides high-level administrative, operational, and executive support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Office of the CEO. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to manage confidential information while coordinating executive priorities, Board relations, and strategic initiatives.
The Executive Assistant serves as a key liaison between the CEO, Board of Directors, executive leadership, external stakeholders, and internal departments. This position contributes to organizational effectiveness by supporting leadership operations in alignment with CAMcare’s mission, strategic priorities, and regulatory requirements.

Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer.
Classification and Compensation
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Benchmark:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
Market Benchmark Source:
This range aligns with Executive Assistant to CEO compensation benchmarks in New Jersey healthcare organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and nonprofit executive administration roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Support
- Provides high-level administrative support to the CEO, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and prioritization of executive commitments.
- Serves as primary point of contact for internal and external communications directed to the CEO.
- Screens calls, correspondence, and requests, and responds or redirects appropriately.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, presentations, and executive communications.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding sensitive organizational, personnel, and strategic information.
Board of Directors Support
- Coordinates logistics for Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
- Prepares meeting agendas, materials, and official Board packets.
- Attends Board and Committee meetings as requested and prepares accurate meeting minutes.
- Maintains Board records, files, and governance documentation.
- Coordinates Board travel, reimbursements, and related administrative support.
Administrative and Operational Coordination
- Coordinates executive travel arrangements, expense reporting, and reimbursement documentation.
- Maintains executive files, contact databases, and records in accordance with organizational policies.
- Assists with preparation of reports, operational summaries, and executive dashboards.
- Supports grant administration and submission processes, including HRSA Electronic Handbooks documentation as assigned.
- Coordinates meetings, leadership communications, and organizational initiatives on behalf of the CEO.
Project and Organizational Support
- Assists with special projects, strategic initiatives, and executive priorities.
- Serves as liaison between the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Supports organizational events, meetings, and executive functions.
- Travels between sites as needed based on organizational requirements.
Other Duties
- Performs other duties as assigned to support executive operations and organizational effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and executive administrative experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support, preferably supporting senior leadership or C-suite executives.
- Healthcare, nonprofit, or Federally Qualified Health Center experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting Board of Directors and governance functions preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
- Occasional travel between CAMcare locations may be required.
- Ability to sit, stand, and operate office equipment for extended periods.
