About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY
AGT is looking for a Solar Quality Control Coordinator to support commercial, industrial, and utility scale solar construction projects throughout Florida. This role is responsible for conducting routine jobsite inspections, verifying workmanship against approved plans and specifications, documenting quality and safety conditions, and supporting commissioning and project closeout activities. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, safety focused, and experienced in construction or solar environments, with the ability to work independently while partnering closely with field and operations teams to ensure consistent, high quality solar installations.

Key Responsibilities
• Attend pre-construction meetings including design, and client meetings. Establish baseline pre-existing conditions reports for all areas potentially affected by work required. Review drawings, submittals, spec sheets and budgets with Project Team prior to all job mobilizations.
• Ensure all required product submittals, job budgets, safety plans, compliance documents, and procedural documents are developed by staff and in place by construction team.
• Visit active and complete projects for quality control and conducts quality control inspections for Solar employees of industrial, commercial, and service applications.
• Photo document each visit with a brief description of the quality and any deficiencies and how to correct
• Track by Foreman and CM on jobsites that meet ARI quality vs Deficient
• Prepare and present reports relating to job quality performance.
• Check each project visited that there are before, interior and in progress photos being document as well as a daily project log of worksite conditions
• Follow company-wide safety practices, policies, and training.
• Perform safety inspections and documents safety violations
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
• Visit jobsites throughout Florida for quality workmanship
• Manage the commissioning and testing process of the solar installation, as well as compile the final report
• Conduct routine inspections (2–3 local / 1–2 out-of-town per day) with complete same-day photo-documented reports.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education
• High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Experience
• years of experience in relevant or related field (Preferred)

Skills & Requirements
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug test.
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
• Successful Background Check
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, primarily phone and email.
• Must be able to lift 100 IBS or more
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to become proficient with other software’s
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to accurately keep records while managing multiple projects at one time
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume work environment
• Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams for project build process
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a calm and effective demeanor in all circumstances
• Problem solving aptitude
