Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Surety Producer to develop and grow client relationships while delivering tailored surety bond solutions for contractors and commercial businesses. This role focuses on new business development, account growth, and strategic advisory support around bonding capacity and risk. The Surety Producer partners closely with internal service teams and carrier partners to ensure a seamless, high-quality client experience. The ideal candidate brings strong surety expertise, a consultative sales approach, and a long-term relationship mindset.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position intended for a candidate based in the Southeast Region. Work location (remote, hybrid, or in-office) will be determined based on business needs and the candidate’s location.

Professional Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of surety clients, with a primary focus on contractors and commercial businesses.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and strategic industry relationships.
• Analyze client financial statements, operations, and risk profiles to structure appropriate surety bond programs.
• Advise clients on bonding capacity, program structure, and prevailing market conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with surety carriers and underwriting partners to support placement and growth.
• Partner with internal account management and service teams to ensure accurate placement, renewals, and ongoing bond servicing.
• Support client retention and account expansion through proactive communication and strategic account planning.
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity and client records using agency management and CRM systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in surety production, underwriting, or related construction-focused insurance roles.
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license (state-specific).
• Strong knowledge of contract surety, commercial surety, and bonding requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit and performance risk.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, agency management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to ethical practices and long-term client success.
