Job Description

BROOKSIDE COUNTRY CLUB

Canton, Ohio

Events Coordinator

Full-Time, Year-Round Position

This Isn’t Just Another Events Job

If you love the details, know how to make people feel taken care of, and can turn an ordinary banquet room into the setting for a memorable celebration, keep reading.

Brookside Country Club is looking for an Events Coordinator who understands that great events do not happen by accident. They happen because someone asked the right questions, planned carefully, communicated clearly, and cared enough to make every detail feel intentional.

About Brookside Country Club

Brookside Country Club is a private club in Canton, Ohio where hospitality, tradition, and personal service matter. Our members and guests come to Brookside for meaningful moments: weddings, showers, golf outings, family celebrations, business gatherings, and club events that bring people together.

Behind each of those events is a team that takes pride in making the experience feel seamless, polished, and memorable. That is where this role comes in.

The Role

We’re hiring a full-time Events Coordinator to help plan, sell, organize, and execute private events and club functions throughout the year. This person will work closely with members, guests, the Clubhouse Manager, culinary team, service team, and event staff to make sure every event is thoughtfully planned and beautifully carried out.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both people and process. You will give tours, talk through event possibilities, prepare Banquet Event Orders, coordinate details with internal teams, and help lead event staff through the execution of each function.

You will report directly to the Clubhouse Manager.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead event staff in executing the details of banquets, private events, club functions, and golf outings
  • Plan and coordinate details for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, golf outings, and other special events
  • Give tours of Brookside’s facilities and confidently share how the Club can make each event feel memorable and special
  • Prepare, type, update, and distribute Banquet Event Order sheets so every department is aligned
  • Communicate event details clearly with culinary, service, management, and operations teams
  • Help ensure room setups, timelines, menus, service details, and guest expectations are organized before each event begins
  • Support event-day execution by staying visible, composed, and focused on the guest experience
  • Develop marketing and sales strategies to increase banquet and private event volume
  • Build strong relationships with members, guests, vendors, and internal team members
  • Represent Brookside with warmth, professionalism, and pride during every conversation and event

What We’re Looking For

  • 2 to 3 years of experience booking banquets, private events, or catering functions in a high-end hotel, restaurant, private club, or similar hospitality setting
  • Someone who is polished, personable, organized, and comfortable working directly with members and guests
  • A confident communicator who can explain event options, answer questions, and guide people through the planning process
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with timelines, room setups, menus, BEOs, and special requests
  • A hospitality-minded professional who understands how important weddings, showers, golf outings, and celebrations are to the people hosting them
  • Someone who can lead event staff with calm direction and a team-first attitude
  • The ability to balance sales, planning, administration, and event execution without losing sight of the guest experience
  • A natural sense of professionalism, follow-through, and pride in representing Brookside Country Club

Why You’ll Love Working Here

This is a role where your work becomes part of people’s most important memories.

At Brookside, events are more than dates on a calendar. They are wedding days, milestone celebrations, family gatherings, member traditions, and moments that people remember long after the room is reset. As Events Coordinator, you will help shape those experiences from the first tour through the final detail.

Here’s what that can look like day-to-day:

  • A Meaningful Role in Memorable Events You will help couples, families, members, and guests bring important occasions to life in a setting that feels personal and special.
  • A Strong Team Environment Great events take communication, trust, and teamwork. You will work closely with a hospitality team that understands the importance of doing things well.
  • Variety Throughout the Year No two events are exactly the same. From golf outings to weddings to showers and club functions, this role offers a steady mix of planning, selling, organizing, and hands-on execution.
  • A Chance to Grow the Business You will play an important role in increasing banquet volume by helping tell Brookside’s story, showcase the Club’s capabilities, and create confidence with prospective event hosts.
  • Work That Gets Noticed When an event runs smoothly, people feel it. Members notice. Guests notice. The team notices. This is a position where preparation, professionalism, and care make a visible difference.

Compensation & Details

  • Full-time, year-round position
  • Pay commensurate with experience
  • Potential for year end bonus
  • Reports to the Clubhouse Manager

Sound Like Your Kind of Role?

If you are an organized, hospitality-minded events professional who enjoys selling the experience, planning the details, and seeing a beautiful event come together, we would love to hear from you.
