JOB TITLE: CYCLE COUNTER/MATERIAL HANDLER
Non-Exempt Position
REPORTS TO: Senior Inventory Control Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Materials
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Cycle Counter/Material Handler is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory, performing cycle count duties, and storing and moving material to ensure accurate inventory control.
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
- Ensure materials are in proper locations and conduct searches to locate misclassified inventory.
- Report discrepancies of over / under amounts and any damaged products to supervision.
- Loading, unloading, identifying, labeling and putting away of inbound material.
- Pick, pull and distribute material to appropriate warehouse locations to support manufacturing and order fulfillment.
- Utilize JDE software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, past activity and record material transactions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word required.
- Proficient with basic math.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds on occasion.
- General warehouse cleanup and housekeeping
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Conduct all interactions with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, customers, and field sales representatives in a focused, positive, courteous and respectful manner.
- Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.
- Flexible with periodic change in hours when required.
- Cross train in multiple job functions
- Safely operate various material handling equipment (e.g stand up forklift, reach truck, sit down forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack, etc.)
