The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant solutions while contributing to architecture decisions and implementing innovative technical approaches. This role requires balancing technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on development in a hybrid, collaborative environment. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant solutions while contributing to architecture decisions and implementing innovative technical approaches. The Sr. Engineer will help shape the platforms roadmap and ensure that software solutions meet both business and customer needs.Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end backend systems, microservices, and data pipelines
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers
- Build and optimize relational and non-relational database solutions, including PostgreSQL
- Partner with product owners and engineering teams to translate requirements into user stories and plan sprints
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system scalability and performance
- Ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions while following industry best practices
- Track technical debt, risks, and dependencies, proposing solutions to mitigate challenges
- Stay current with cloud services, FinTech trends, and emerging software engineering practices
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 47 years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in backend development with Java and RESTful Web Services
- 3+ years of experience designing ETL pipelines and managing SQL/NoSQL databases
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM)
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
- Preferred: FinTech experience, regulated environments, and knowledge of financial data platforms
