We are currently looking for a Sr. Engineer, Software in the United States.The Sr. Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications within a dynamic FinTech platform. This position is responsible for the full software lifecycle, from development through deployment and operational support, with a focus on backend services, microservices, databases, and cloud infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant solutions while contributing to architecture decisions and implementing innovative technical approaches. This role requires balancing technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on development in a hybrid, collaborative environment. The Sr. Engineer will help shape the platforms roadmap and ensure that software solutions meet both business and customer needs.Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end backend systems, microservices, and data pipelines
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers
• Build and optimize relational and non-relational database solutions, including PostgreSQL
• Partner with product owners and engineering teams to translate requirements into user stories and plan sprints
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system scalability and performance
• Ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions while following industry best practices
• Track technical debt, risks, and dependencies, proposing solutions to mitigate challenges
• Stay current with cloud services, FinTech trends, and emerging software engineering practices

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 47 years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in backend development with Java and RESTful Web Services
• 3+ years of experience designing ETL pipelines and managing SQL/NoSQL databases
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM)
• 2+ years of experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
• Preferred: FinTech experience, regulated environments, and knowledge of financial data platforms
