Job Title: NGS Laboratory Supervisor

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona (Located at East Bell Road and the 101)

Compensation: $105,000 – $145,000 Annually Dependent on Experience

Employment Type: Full-Time with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401k)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No nights, no weekends, and no major holidays!

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Laboratory Manger with NGS experience to join our clinical laboratory division at Envita Medical Centers. This individual will work within a dynamic and fast paced team to design and build NGS and RNA workflow pipelines from the ground up for our new facility. This role must have prior proven experience in the NGS space with either Oncology or Infectious Disease related work.

This role will require collaborative work with other members of the team, as well as other groups within the broader R&D department. Most projects will be geared towards design and execution of NGS Workflows both on the laboratory side and the bioinformatics side. Our ideal candidate will have an inherent curiosity, interest in innovation, and a proven track record of creativity working within the NGS space.

Essential Functions:

· Implement, test, and maintain informatics so they are best suited for clinical needs

· Develop front end analysis tools to visualize and compile results

· Build specific workflows implementing automated analysis steps to process and organize routine data

· Develop reproducible analysis for research and development activities

· Design, prototype, and evaluate algorithms and statistical methods for biomedical data processing, interpretation, and large-scale analysis to explore alternative approaches

· Validate new assays and clinical product development

· Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to understand workflow requirements

Required Qualifications:

· Ph.D. or Masters degree in related field

· 4 years of job-related experience in biomedical data analysis

· 4 years of job-related experience in NGS

· Demonstrated ability to understand and implement computational algorithms, statistical analysis methods, custom data analysis software, etc.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Effective listening skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with antibody –based technology, including automated assay development, antibody conjugation, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA and/or western blot

· Knowledge regarding CLIA regulations for a high complexity lab licensure

· Experience with FFPE tissue embedding and preparation.

· Experience with RNA and / or DNA extraction

· Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting is a plus
