Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of inbound and outbound sales opportunities from initial qualification through order completion
  • Serve as the technical sales lead on complex or high-value opportunities requiring advanced application knowledge or customized solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with field sales teams, distributors, and channel partners to progress opportunities and drive successful deal closure.
  • Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer applications, installed base, and usage patterns.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations in compliance with established pricing, margin, and commercial guidelines.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records in the CRM system for opportunities, quotations, and customer interactions.
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and technical support to Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Review quotations, opportunity pipelines, and deal strategies to ensure accuracy, quality, and probability of success.
  • Support the onboarding, training, and development of new inside sales team members.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for technical, commercial, and customer-related issues.
  • Promote adherence to sales processes, CRM utilization, and best practices across the team.
  • Assist with inside sales capacity planning, workload prioritization, and territory coverage.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on response time, conversion rates, and overall customer experience.
  • Provide input into performance evaluations and the effectiveness of incentive programs, as assigned.
  • Manage the most complex, strategic, or technically demanding inside sales opportunities.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert for products, applications, and competitive positioning.
  • Support field sales teams and distributors with pre-sales technical qualification and solution development.
  • Contribute insights to pricing strategy, product improvement, and win/loss analysis.
  • Influence and mentor peers through expertise, collaboration, and best-practice sharing without direct supervisory authority.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, a technical discipline, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of inside sales or technical sales experience in an industrial B2B environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate engineered or configurable products.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales and order targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics, or HubSpot.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in industrial automation, sensors, instrumentation, controls, capital equipment, or engineered components.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience supporting distributor networks or hybrid direct/distributor sales models.
  • Prior experience mentoring or informally leading peers in a sales environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and order management processes.
