Job Summary:

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Energetics Operator II to support energetic production efforts. The Manufacturing Operator II is an experienced production operator who can run multiple machines or complex processes with limited supervision. This role supports changeovers, minor troubleshooting, and mentoring of Operator I employees, while maintaining higher expectations for quality and throughput.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently operate one or more production lines or machines, following standard work and work instructions, meeting rate and quality targets.
  • Perform in‑process inspections, use basic measuring tools, and document quality results.
  • Assist with setups and changeovers, including tooling, fixtures, and basic parameter adjustments.
  • Train and mentor Operator I employees on safe, effective operation and standard work.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records in logs or ERP/MES.
  • Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards; participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in training and cross‑training to learn additional operations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of hazardous material handling and explosive safety principles.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions, batch sheets, and production travelers with accuracy.
  • Awareness of quality control procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Competence in operating mechanical or automated production equipment.
  • Strong focus on detail, safety, and reliability in hazardous environments.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with measuring tools (scales, gauges, etc.).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, including:
    • Be 21 years of age or older.
    • Pass pre-employment drug test.
    • Pass State and Federal background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and six sigma methodologies
