Digital Sales EDU Account Executive at GoEngineer Inc – Salt Lake City, Utah
About This Position
Description:
About this opportunity:
GoEngineer is a provider of the most compelling design platforms in the industry, deploying engineering software and 3D Printing technology to make the design process innovative, efficient, and intelligent.
GoEngineer is looking for an EDU Rep to join our team. The EDU Rep is responsible for managing and growing our education accounts through renewals, upsells, and new business development. In this role, you will own your territory, serve as the primary strategic partner for education customers from initial engagement through implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong outbound prospecting skills, strategic thinking about growth and retention opportunities, excellent communication and presentation abilities, a high work ethic, and ability to learn a broad set of engineering software solutions and build long-term relationships with education customers.
Your key contributions in this role will be:
Renewals and Account Management: Manage and renew existing EDU customers, identifying upsell opportunities and maintaining long-term relationships aligned to academic budget cycles.
Inbound Lead Management: Respond to and qualify incoming EDU leads, guiding prospects through the buying process and moving opportunities forward in a timely, organized way.
Outbound Prospecting and New Business Growth: Proactively build pipeline through outbound outreach to new EDU accounts to drive organic growth beyond inbound demand.
Territory Ownership: Manage a state-based territory and keep coverage equitable and consistent, maintaining accurate plans and priorities across your assigned region.
Quoting and Deal Execution: Prepare quotes, coordinate required internal steps and ensure deal details are correct, so orders move smoothly from "ready to buy" to closed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and vendor resources to navigate processes, remove roadblocks, and deliver the right solution for each institution.
CRM/Systems Discipline: Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and customer records in internal systems to support forecasting and follow-through.
Continuous Improvement and Coachability: Apply feedback quickly, strengthen product and process knowledge, and consistently bring a high work ethic to daily execution.
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:
1-3 years of experience in a sales, account management, or business development role (inside sales experience a plus).
Experience managing a full sales cycle, including renewals and new business (or strong readiness to ramp into full-cycle responsibility).
Proven outbound prospecting skills (cold calling, email outreach, and consistent pipeline-building habits).
Strong ability to stay organized in a long, relationship-driven sales cycle and align outreach with customer buying/budget seasons.
Comfortable learning and selling technical software solutions; able to "quarterback" opportunities by partnering with internal teams and vendor resources.
Extra points for: Experience selling into education or government-funded accounts; familiarity with CRM/quoting/order systems and navigating internal processes to get deals across the finish line.
