Job Overview

Sting Alarm Inc is seeking an experienced Fire and Low Voltage Estimator to join our Sales & Client Relations team. This role is critical in driving company growth through accurate, competitive estimating for fire alarm, access control, and low voltage security projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and low voltage infrastructure, along with the ability to interpret plans, prepare detailed proposals, and collaborate with clients, project managers, and field technicians. This hybrid role offers both flexibility and direct involvement in high-profile security projects throughout the Las Vegas area.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents for fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and low voltage projects

  • Prepare accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates

  • Develop detailed proposals and scope summaries for clients

  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and Operations to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility

  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed

  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing

  • Track prevailing wage requirements when applicable

  • Maintain organized documentation of bids, revisions, and awarded projects

  • Support contract negotiations and project handoff to operations teams

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the estimating process

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience estimating fire alarm and/or low voltage security systems

  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes, fire alarm design, and low voltage systems

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Experience bidding commercial, industrial, and government projects preferred

  • Familiarity with prevailing wage projects is a plus

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Valid drivers license required
