Overview


CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with demonstrated expertise supporting projects for the Department of Defense (DoD). This position will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in the development, testing, engineering, and system management and administration of new weapons system builds.

The Senior Systems Engineer must have an excellent understanding of, and experience in systems engineering, specifically software test and evaluation. They should have knowledge of the system development life cycle, including system definition, development, design, analysis and control, integration, and testing. They should have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at supporting engineering and integration efforts that are associated with the systems administration, software development, and security compliance of software builds for military systems. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense’s (DoD) GCSS-MC, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile application development.


Responsibilities


Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-

  • Support the development and implementation of end-to-end Test & Evaluation (T&E) support for USMC and emerging Joint Air Command and Control (C2) applications. Support shall include developing operationally realistic test concepts, risk assessment determinations, operational data requirements, interface requirements, test planning, test execution and test reporting across the C2 framework of Joint Air Operations

  • Provide acquisition engineering and process support by reviewing any Marine Air-Ground Task Force Command and Control (MAGTF C2) training and fielding documentation and products. Support shall include assisting in the updates of the following: T&E planning; mission threads; and Concept of Employment Guides

  • Advise and support the MAGTF C2 for USMC Air C2 programs by providing technical Air C2 domain knowledge to augment independent cybersecurity evaluation teams performing formal testing (Annual Security Review, Cyber Compliance Test) as part of acquisition program certification and accreditation (C&A) activities

  • Support software development and Systems of Systems (SoS) architecture for new capabilities

  • Provide systems engineering support for the system development life cycle, including system definition, development, design, analysis and control, integration, and testing

  • Able to research and analyze existing software, hardware, and applications to provide plans and recommendations

  • Participate and or lead conference calls and meetings with customers to discuss changes to software, hardware and applications and new implementation recommendations

  • Work with personnel as needed to ensure all software, hardware or applications are working correctly

  • Assist with the creation, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures for application or systems migration, configuration support, and network operations which improve service and repeatability

  • Identify and mitigate risk associated with all transition efforts

  • Provide plans, reports, or technical input, as needed

  • Collaborate with other contractor teammates and customers daily

  • Work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner

  • Assist with the development of new deployment strategies

  • Assist with development and/or traceability of requirements


Qualifications


Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; preferred.

  • Ten (10) years of professional experience, with eight (8) years of equipment specific experience

  • Six (6) of the ten (10) years must detail progressively increasing levels of responsibility in organizations and task experience

  • Knowledge of Air Battle Management capabilities

  • Knowledge of Aviation Command and Control Systems (AC2S)

  • Secret Clearance
