This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and elevate the people partnering function within a fast-scaling, high-growth organisation operating at the intersection of healthcare and technology. You will lead a team of People Partners while personally owning the most complex and sensitive employment relations matters, including executive-level cases and high-stakes organisational decisions. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will influence people strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure consistent, high-quality HR partnering across the business. The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, particularly in navigating complex employee relations and organisational challenges. You will operate in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment where judgement, credibility, and communication at executive level are essential. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on organisational culture, leadership effectiveness, and workforce outcomes.
- Lead the strategy, direction, and operating model of the People Partnering function across all business units.
- Personally manage complex, sensitive, and executive-level employment relations matters, including investigations, exits, disputes, and legal proceedings.
- Oversee performance management, talent reviews, engagement cycles, and lifecycle people processes across the organisation.
- Provide guidance on legal risk, settlements, and external counsel engagement for high-impact HR cases.
- Drive capability uplift across people managers through coaching, frameworks, and direct leadership engagement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing People Partner team, ensuring consistency and quality of HR delivery.
- Partner with senior leaders and executive teams to influence people strategy and organisational decision-making.
- Support the adoption of modern HR practices, including AI-enabled tools and data-driven people insights.
- 10+ years of experience in senior HR, People & Culture, or business partnering roles in complex, fast-paced environments.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing People Partner or HR Business Partner teams.
- Strong expertise in Australian employment law and hands-on experience managing complex employment relations cases.
- Proven ability to handle executive-level HR matters, including risk assessment, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Strong leadership capability with experience building manager capability and improving organisational people practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage confidently at executive leadership level.
- Strong commercial mindset, balancing employee experience with business outcomes and sustainability.
- Analytical and data-informed approach to decision-making and measuring HR effectiveness.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and making sound, defensible decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required; postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
