Bethany for Children & Families is searching for a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Child Welfare Specialist to join our Foster Care team in Moline, Illinois.

Salary: $55,036.80 per year

What You’ll Be Doing as a Child Welfare Specialist:
  • Build supportive relationships with children, youth, and families on your caseload.
  • Develop case plans/treatment plans tailored to each family’s unique needs.
  • Keep case records and reports accurate, timely, and in line with agency expectations.
  • Meet regularly with your Supervisor to review cases, service delivery, and critical issues.
  • Connect families to agency and community resources that match their needs.
  • Be there when families need you most — sometimes outside normal business hours.
Requirements:

What We’d Love to See in You

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field.
  • At least two years of social service experience.
  • Ability to meet all regulatory requirements for Child Welfare Agencies in Illinois, including background checks and DCFS driver certification.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and acceptable insurance coverage.
  • Flexibility to support families outside regular business hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences in the community.
  • Physical ability to lift 30 lbs, carry car seats, and attend to infants/young children.
