About This Position
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Duties include: ability to visually inspect and test machinery or equipment, diagnose electrical problems, and perform necessary repairs needed to safely install and/or return production equipment to acceptable operating condition; ability to carry out planned maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubricating, etc.; ability in install plumbing assemblies to maintain pipe systems related to hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, repairs gauges, valves, pressure regulators, etc.; operates welding equipment; requires some basic carpentry skills.
Qualifications include: Associates degree from two year college or university preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, and Industrial Maintenance certification or equivalent. Must be able to frequently life and/or move up to 50 pounds; basic understanding of computers including, but not limited to, Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to search the internet for information; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to calculate basic functions of geometry such as finding area, volume, and perimeter.
