Job Summary

• Responsible for answering the telephone, greets patients, creating and updating patient and insurance information in the system.
• Verifies and analyzes health insurance benefits, accepts co-payment and explains payment policies and billing/collections processes.
• Refers messages to the appropriate person and schedules appointments using proper telephone/ customer service etiquette.
• Provided Avera Chart information to patients and assists as needed in signing up.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• One to two years related experience preferred.

Work Schedule

• Varied Shifts: 6:30-3:30; 8:00am-5:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm;80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Weekends: every 12th weekend, hours are 9:0am-4:00pm
  • Holidays: Closed all major holidays, Urgent Care is only open Memorial Day and Labor Day

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
