Junior Product Manager - Payment Channel & Fintech Integration at PALMPAY LIMITED – Dhaka, Dhaka

PalmPay is a pan-African fintech company currently operating in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and expanding to other markets this year. We’re reinventing the payment experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills, and shop online.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to manage projects and design interaction processes for integrating capabilities with external institutions, particularly banks and fintechs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of payment processes, methods, and APIs, along with experience in managing integrations. Strong English communication skills are essential for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for integrating payment capabilities with external institutions (banks, fintechs, etc.).
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Design and optimize interaction processes for seamless integration with external partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on integration requirements and workflows.
• Leverage a solid understanding of payment processes, methods, and flows to guide integration efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment integrations.
• Utilize basic knowledge of APIs and parameters to effectively manage and oversee integration projects.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure API specifications meet business requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external institutions, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, design, compliance) to deliver high-quality integration solutions.
• Identify opportunities to enhance integration processes and payment workflows.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in payments and fintech.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in product, project, or related fields.
• Proven experience working on integrations with banks, fintechs, or other financial institutions.
• Solid understanding of payment processes, methods, and flows.
• Basic knowledge of APIs, parameters, and technical integration concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with payment gateways, PSPs (Payment Service Providers), or financial APIs.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the payments industry.
