We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Fitter/Welder to work 2nd shift at our Zelienople, PA facility. As a Fitter/Welder at Robinson, you will be responsible for the fitting and welding of all fabricated equipment onsite. This includes our fans and their housing. Each weld takes precision and skill. Our Fitters/Welders are critical to ensure our industrial fans meet the high-quality standards our customers are accustomed to. The schedule for this position is M-Th 2:00pm-12:30am. There is also a $2.00/hour shift differential.
What you’ll do
• Tack assembly together per specifications
• Review project assignments and instructions from Team Leader
• Review drawings and welding details for this job
• Obtain an understanding of the task and develop an action plan
• Set up welding machine and other required equipment
• Weld assemblies per the required standards
• Ensure work meets quality standards
• Practice safety in all aspects of the job and participate in safety improvement programs
• Look for Safety Issues with equipment and processes
• Understand the Principles of Lean Manufacturing (the 5S System should be followed in work areas)
• Participate in improvement projects
• Learn best practices from team leaders and other team members to improve your knowledge and skill levels
• Recommend process improvements
• Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste
• Review drawings and welding details for this job

What you bring
• You must have keen attention to detail and the ability to tack and weld as needed
• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year(s) experience with Mig, Tig and Flux Core
• High School diploma or GED required
• A “can do” attitude and a willingness and desire to learn to build your skills as a welder
• A “can do” attitude and a willingness and desire to learn to build your skills as a welder
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality welding on all fabricated components
• Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualifications as well as AWS D14.6 if it applies to their shop
• Read and understand Robinson weld detail drawings, welding procedures, and shop travelers

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, wear a respirator, wear safety boots, hear safety alarms and climb ladders
• Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication
• Strong fabricating experience is required for this position
