POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Operations is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence, building high-performing teams, and strengthening the systems, processes, and culture that enable sustainable organizational growth. This role oversees core operational functions with a strong emphasis on execution, cross-functional alignment, and continuous improvement.

As the organization grows, this leader will play a critical part in shaping and ultimately overseeing enterprise-wide operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership & Performance

  • Lead day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, service delivery, and operational consistency across all units including all aspects of post-retail operations, Industrial Services, and transportation.
  • Build and scale operational systems, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support current needs and future expansion.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying trends, opportunities, and root causes to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Partner with Retail, HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and strong cross-functional execution.

Strategic Planning & Enterprise Alignment

  • Contribute to strategic and long-range organizational planning as a member of the senior leadership team.
  • Translate strategic objectives into operational plans, ensuring clear goals, accountability, and follow-through across the organization.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen operational infrastructure, preparing the organization for scale.
  • Identify innovation opportunities, emerging trends, and operational risks—and proactively address them.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-caliber operations team, strengthening leadership capability at every level.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build leadership bench strength within operations and retail functions, preparing the organization for seamless succession planning.
  • Model the organization’s culture fundamentals in all interactions.

Process Improvement & Change Leadership

  • Lead organization-wide operational improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologies.
  • Champion operational excellence through simplification, modernization, and adoption of best practices.
  • Guide teams through organizational and system changes with clarity, empathy, and focus.

Financial & Resource Stewardship

  • Develop and manage budgets for operational functions, ensuring responsible use of resources.
  • Drive cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and value-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, multi-site management, or related functional areas.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and improving organizational systems at scale.
  • Experience in or exposure to retail operations is strongly preferred.
