This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping innovative solutions for the hospitality industry. Accountabilities
  • Implement core services for the platform in .NET 8+ running in Docker containers.
  • Develop features from database to APIs.
  • Ensure scalability of the platform and maintainable codebase.
  • Proactively monitor services in production to identify potential issues.
  • Maintain quality of produced code with unit and e2e tests.
  • Participate in an exciting, open, agile team where your voice matters.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with relevant programming skills.
  • Proficient in .NET backend development, including technologies like Kafka, AWS, Docker, ECS/Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools to enhance development processes.
  • A growth mindset towards exploring new AI technologies.
  • Experience with real-time processing using Kafka or optimizations in PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Ability to break down large epics into smaller issues.
  • Extensive experience with microservices-based architecture and asynchronous communication.
  • Fluent communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
