This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping innovative solutions for the hospitality industry. Your work will directly influence the performance and scalability of our platform, which is designed to empower hoteliers with modern technology. Accountabilities- Implement core services for the platform in .NET 8+ running in Docker containers.
- Develop features from database to APIs.
- Ensure scalability of the platform and maintainable codebase.
- Proactively monitor services in production to identify potential issues.
- Maintain quality of produced code with unit and e2e tests.
- Participate in an exciting, open, agile team where your voice matters.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering with relevant programming skills.
- Proficient in .NET backend development, including technologies like Kafka, AWS, Docker, ECS/Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools to enhance development processes.
- A growth mindset towards exploring new AI technologies.
- Experience with real-time processing using Kafka or optimizations in PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Ability to break down large epics into smaller issues.
- Extensive experience with microservices-based architecture and asynchronous communication.
- Fluent communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
