MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:

We’re looking for a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support the marketing team with below-the-line activities. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn about brand management – from managing point-of-sale materials to ensuring in-store campaigns are delivered properly and on time.

Over the course of the 6 months, you’ll gain experience in marketing coordination, in-store execution, and performance reporting, while learning how brands operate day to day in a commercial environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support with Trade Marketing and In-store Execution (45%)

• Coordinate tastings, ensuring logistics and materials are in place.
• Assist with production and delivery of POSM (point-of-sale materials) and prizes.
• Help track promotional activity and pricing compliance across key retailers.
• Coordinate artwork and approvals for retailer broadsheets and promotions.
• Conduct store visits and share photo feedback and reports.

Business and Performance Reporting (35%)

• Support the preparation of monthly performance reports.
• Assist with post-campaign and promo reviews and ROI summaries.
• Provide support on ad hoc data requests and analysis.
• Track and summarize competitor activity.

General Administrative and Ad Hoc Support (20%)

• Help with organizing files, tracking documents, and coordinating deliveries.
• Support campaign-related admin and supplier follow-ups.
• Contribute to internal team projects as needed.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (NQF 7).
• 0–1 years of marketing experience (internship or practical exposure beneficial).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
• Respectful, reliable, and comfortable asking questions when uncertain.
• Curious and open to learning through doing rather than theory.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• South African citizenship and own transport required.
