Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a highly qualified candidate to support a Regional Support Trainer requirement. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Army Tactical Radios Regional Support Trainer to join our team based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and technical support to military personnel stationed in the region, enabling them to effectively utilize and maintain our tactical radio systems. The selected candidate will assist the local Product Manager Tacitical Radio Field Support Technicians with troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of Tactical Radio equipment. The candidates will be used to offset standard NET team missions as needed. The position requires an active Secret clearance.

  • Conduct hands-on training sessions for army units and personnel on the operation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of tactical radio systems.
  • Tailor training programs to meet the specific needs and operational requirements of army units stationed in the region, ensuring optimal utilization of tactical radio assets in mission-critical scenarios.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues and providing expert guidance on tactical radio operations and maintenance, both in the field and remotely.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and feedback. Prepare comprehensive reports to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with army units, commanders, and other stakeholders, providing ongoing support and technical expertise to ensure mission success and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development, engineering, and customer support, to address customer needs, gather feedback, and contribute to the enhancement of our tactical radio solutions.
  • Achieves and maintains Assistant Instructor (AI) and Primary Instructor (PI) Certification and Annual re-certification as stated in the PM TR TPF SOP.
  • Attend the level 2 training certificate to gain radio and maintenance troubleshooting skills.


Responsibilities

  • Associate degree or 2-year Technical School.
  • 8 years of additional direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education for a total of 10 years of experience.
  • Proven experience facilitating small and large group training activities to achieve desired training outcomes in both in-person and virtual/online classroom environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of army communication protocols, encryption standards, and radio frequency management.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing effective solutions in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Must be able to travel within the region and occasionally internationally up to 50% of the year, as required.
  • Prior military experience, especially in communications or signal corps, is preferred.
