ESL Teacher/Sub ESL Teacher at Lotus Learning Group – Toms River, New Jersey

The ESL Teacher/Sub Teacher will plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for ESL students in an alternate educational setting. The certified substitute in this position is responsible for helping to create a learning environment that provides specialized instruction for a small group student who may need: 1:1 and/or small group instruction, lessons & activities for a variety of learning styles, and someone who is patient and flexible.

Hours: M-F, 8:15-2:30, 1/2 lunch, hourly rates from $40-$44 depending on experience

Job Type: Part time/temporary but could lead to full time!

Responsibilities include:

• Help to develop lesson plans, assignments and activities that reflect individual needs, goals, and objectives.
• Establish and follow routine and schedule to provide maximum learning time.
• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to learning.
• Utilize appropriate curricula, materials, and behavioral techniques.
• Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner.
• Always supervise students in the classroom.

• NJ ESL Teacher Certification (CE, CEAS, Standard certifications)
• NJ Substitute Teacher certification- must have some experience with ESL instruction
