The Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) is dedicated to helping children and their families by providing the right services and solutions based on individual needs. CFCE is constantly evolving to better support our community. As an Assistant Director for Behavioral Health you will provide direct oversight of the implementation of strategic plans for clinical services, while ensuring the sustainability of the health clinic. In this position you must also adhere to all CQI standards as required under the Federally Qualified Health Center. This position requires 24/7 availability on-call.

Some of the Functions Include:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the mental health, substance abuse, behavioral case management and parenting services.
  • Provide oversight of all referral and intake operations, and the facilitation of referrals to other services.
  • Provide direct supervision to clinical supervisors and certified substance abuse treatment staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all funding and accreditation standards and regulations as well as program specific policies and procedures.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements and ensure staff training and implementation of the policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that FQHC practices are compliant with regulations, licenses, credentials and contractual stipulations.
  • Ensure clinical privileging requirements are met for all licensed independent providers pursuant to the health clinic’s Privileging Policy.
  • Monitor case assignments and staffing patterns to ensure appropriate caseload mix and required level of service to clients.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and goals.
  • Oversee the integration and coordination between medical and behavioral health services.

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related Behavioral Health science degree.
  • Licensure required; Licensed Clinical Social Work, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in behavioral health services, with management responsibilities.
  • Certification and experience in chemical dependency preferred.
  • Experience in policy areas related to healthcare, community health, and human services.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and regulatory/credentialing criteria and standards.
  • Ability to provide leadership and team management to staff.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and make independent judgements and decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including presentation skills.
  • Access to a well maintained vehicle, valid auto insurance, and a current valid Driver's License
